While they may share some similarities, they also share many differences. To consider all Indigenous of North America to be the same, would be like: Considering all kids in this class to be the same Considering all the schools in this district to be the same Considering the cultures of every province in Canada to be the same

8 Creation Stories Just like languages differ from nation to nation, so do the stories about how Indigenous populations came to inhabit North America. One creation story from the Ojibwa/Anishinabe from Eastern Canada talks about the making of ‘Turtle Island.’ While we read, try to find evidence to answer this question: How do the Ojibwa/Anishinabe understand their relationship with the environment?
