Male Reproductive System
Testes are the male gonads where sperm are produced (spermatogenesis occurs) Are made of small coiled tubes called the semineferous tubules

The scrotum is an out pocketing of the body wall in which the testes are located
The scrotum keeps the testes 1 or 2 degrees cooler than body temperature. This is necessary for the normal production and storage of sperm

GLANDS There are three glands that secrete fluids that serve as a transport medium for the sperm The fluid also provides nourishment and protects the sperm from the acidity of the female reproductive tract

Glands The glands are : Cowper's Gland Seminal Vesicles Prostate Gland

Semen is a mixture of sperm cells and fluid from the glands

Vas Deferens - tubes that leave the testes, carrying the sperm to the urethra

Urethra- tube through which sperm leave the body
Urine also leaves through the urethra

Penis- structural adaptation for internal fertilization

Testosterone- hormone produced in the testes that regulates sperm production and secondary sex characteristics in males
