2. Recognize achievements of DLTS student workers and reward their efforts.

3. The first annual Margie Helm Awards for Outstanding Performance presented to a library faculty member and a library staff member in December Margie Helm led WKU Libraries for 45 years. In 2006, library student assistants became eligible for an award. Nominations are submitted by library personnel. The final decision is made by the Dean of Libraries and Department Heads.

4. The WKU Libraries and University Experience Undergraduate Research Award, begun in Spring 2011 and given
in the spring and fall with one winner from the Main campus (annotated bibliography) and one from South Campus (career essay). A plaque and $100 given at a reception.

5. Recognize seniors with bookplate in book of their choice (or other resource)

6. Engage in collaborative
efforts with other departments
on campus (student art)

8. “ They are really proud of themselves
and I think rightfully so.  They've
collectively put hundreds of hours into
each of the pieces and have learned a ton.  
I think they also now feel they are very invested in the library – so you may have earned yourself a team of consultants should you choose to activate them!  (Only one of 14 graduated Saturday and two are already library workers.)” Reception planned in fall with “ribbon cutting. ( Art Professor)
