Description of ewing sarcoma
Symptoms and characteristics Pain and/or swelling, usually in the arms, legs, chest, back, or pelvis (area between the hips). A lump that may feel soft and warm in the arms, legs, chest, or pelvis. typically starts in the bones, but can also start in other tissues and muscles. Who is affected? Anyone, but the following have a higher risk: It occurs most frequently in children and teenagers, and is rarely seen in adults over the age of 30. Outlook or quality of life the 5-year survival rate has increased over the same time from 59% to 78% for kids younger than 15 and from 20% to 60% for adolescents aged 15 to 19 .
