Fear of Place LO: - To explore how geography and crime are connected.

The sea makes an eerie noise at night when the waves break on the shoreline.
High bushes block my vision and stopping me from seeing my surroundings The narrow path has an uneven surface and no lighting. On a windy day the wind whistles down the path and you can hear the metal clips on the masts of boats, further down the path, banging in the wind. A secluded house with a massive garden sits behind the fence. I have never seen anyone in there. A six foot high wire fence blocks my escape from the path.

Draw your Place (Birds Eye View) and Annotate your diagram Explain the physical and human features that cause you to fear (or feel uneasy in) that place = this should be written as a paragraph. Remember – Point, Evidence and Explain Keep asking yourself why? 3. Look up your place on what crimes happen in the local area near your Place of Fear. 4. Suggest at least Six things that could be added to the place to ease or erase your fear. Try to make your ideas sustainable 5. Thinking about the last two lessons How are crime and Geography linked?
