Mean adherence in the hospital group was 65.0% (CI: 62.0%, 68.0%) compared with 79.3% (CI: 77.7%, 80.9%) in the hospice group (t-test, P<0.001). b) Distribution frequency of nonadherences per patient in the two palliative care settings investigated. Median (interquartile range) number of nonadherences per patient in the hospital and hospice were 6 (3, 8) and 3 (1, 5), respectively (Wilcoxon rank sum test, P<0.001). Mean (standard deviation) number of nonadherences per patient in hospital and hospice were 5.8 (3.0) and 3.3 (2.6), respectively (t-test, P<0.001).
