Two classes (MWA10 and MFP10) are offered over three semesters to allow students more time for practice and to absorb material. *** Remember that when you choose a stretched class it requires a spot in both semesters.
* Graduation requirement for Mathematics is any 20 level course.
* Students can take more than one pathway at the 20 and 30 level.

15. Prerequisites
You are responsible to ensure that you have the required prerequisite course for any class you select.
Be sure to refer to the Registration and Course Selection Booklet on our school website for all course descriptions and prerequisites.

16. Modified Courses
Before registering for a modified course, please see Mrs. Mamchur, Mrs. Solie or Mr. Klein in Learning Assistance.
These courses end in a “1” (e.g. MAT11, SCI21)

17. Advanced Placement
It provides an opportunity to earn a university credit in grade 12.
English A30P and B30P, Psychology 30P and Français immersion 30P are offered.

18. Learning Assistance
If you had a Learning Assistance class this year or would like to be a part of Learning Assistance next year, please see Mrs. Mamchur, Mrs. Solie or Mr. Klein (Room 218).
Learning Assistance is a non-credit class that helps you achieve success in your other classes.

19. English as an Additional Language
If you had an EAL class this year or would like to be a part of an EAL class next year, please see Mr. Stone (Room 301), Mr. Santoro or Ms. Gilmore (Room 219).
Some EAL classes are for credits and some are tutorials to support students in other courses.

20. Electives
Elective classes are offered based on the number of students that sign up.
If less than a class size registers for an elective class then it will not be offered.

23. Choral
Choral is a year long class open to Grade 9-12 females and males that runs on Tuesdays and Fridays (and a few extra rehearsal days) during the noon hour.
Since it occurs at noon, Choral is an 11th class.

25. Career and Work Exploration
It is a two credit class offered during periods 4 and 5 (Choose CWE10 & CWE20 together; choose CWA30 & CWB30 together). One credit option may be available with permission from a Counsellor.
After a 7 week in-class portion, students will complete two work placements at local businesses.
EDF program for Gr 10 to 11 house build – 2 credits, up to 4 credits
Gr 10 to 11: Summer youth internship

31. Click on TIMETABLES then click on the CHOICES dropdown.
Click on the EDIT button on the right of the screen.

32. Click on the + sign to open up each Department folder.

Click on the + sign to open up each grade. Click on the course you are interested in. As you click on a course, the course name and description will open under the COURSE INFORMATION title.

34. If this is the course you want, click the ADD button at the bottom of the course description. The course should quickly appear under the STUDENT CHOICES title. Please Note: Leave the dropdown MANDATORY for all classes.
If a course will not add, it is because you don’t have the prerequisite for it. For example, if you are trying to add DRA20 but don’t have the prerequisite DRA10, then it will not add.

35. When you are finished, click CLOSE.

36. When you return to the home screen, wait a few moments until Student Choices updates to the classes you selected.
Under Choice Type: must list MANDATORY for all classes.
