4 Case Study – what advice would you give the student below?
"After studying for a qualification at Westminster Kingsway College, I decided to look for a job; I wanted to start earning real money. I didn’t get the first job I applied for because they wanted someone with GCSE maths and English. I don’t have either of them. I might have gotten the job if I had level 2 in Functional Skills but I don’t have them either. The second job I went for gave me an interview but that didn’t go so well either. It was the first interview I had ever had so I didn’t know how to answer the questions. When I went for an interview for the third job, they asked why I only achieved a pass grade for my college course. I couldn’t tell them it was because my attendance at college was really poor. My timekeeping was really bad as well. I’m thinking of going back to college to do another qualification. I’ll have to do it soon because when I turn 19, I’ll have to start paying for my education.
