1 La Conférence des grandes écoles La Conférence des grandes écoles A non profit organisation which include 212 public and private « Schools » (fields specialised and high level universities): 143 engineering schools 34 management schools 22 schools with other special fields (arts, architecture, veterinary medecine…) And 13 universities abroad, 9 companies and 43 non profit organisation Role of Joint activities: organize commissions and workshops (on sustainable development for example), members information Promotion of the Grandes Ecoles in France and abroad: exchange, experience share, lobbying Accreditation: authorize educational programmes issued by members (post- master named Mastère for example)

2 The Conference of University Presidents (CPU) The Conference of University Presidents (CPU) The Conference of University Presidents (CPU), as defined in Article L233-1 of the French Code of Education, is composed of the directors of universities, national polytechnic institutes, écoles normales supérieures, grandes écoles, and research and higher education clusters (PRES). (around 100 establishments) At a time of profound change in the higher education and research sector, the CPU also supports presidents in their new responsibilities and promotes the French university system and its values. The higher education institutions shall ask for a labelisation based on sustainable development criterias ».
