1 Writing and using a Summary Sheet
“A summary sheet is a page of handwritten notes that you are allowed to use during your examination”

2 Usefulness of a Summary Sheet
Helps you prepare for your assessment by giving you something to focus on. May help to reduce stress in the examination by providing a safety net. Helps you to remember facts so your ability to solve problems and your understanding can be more accurately assessed. A summary sheet will only help your memory you still need to have understanding of the concepts being assessed.

It must be easy for you to read and find things on: Make it readable (neat) Use space wisely – not too many words, pictures can be effective! Organise things on the page, put space between concepts Use headings and colour coding eg. Examples in blue, rules in red

Practice doing examination type questions with your summary sheet. Use your summary sheet to help you focus the night before and on the day of the examination. Refer to your Summary Sheet when you are stuck on a question during the Examination. GOOD LUCK!
