Autosedišta su jedina primerena zaštita ali je svest o važnosti korišćenja veoma niska

Children are most frequently injured in road traffic as vehicle passengers
Child restraints offer the only adequate protection but there is a lack of awareness of the importance of their use
Health workers carry the authority for prevention and education
3 hr long seminar
More than 400 health workers (physicians, nurses and medical technicians)
Seven cities in Serbia (Beograd, Novi Sad, Požarevac, Veliko Gradište, Pančevo, Valjevo, Zaječar)

4. UPOREDBA SAMOPROCENE I STVARNE UPOZNATOSTI SA PROBLEMOM PRE SEMINARA
COMPARISON OF THE SELF ASSESSMENT AND THE REAL AWARENESS OF THE PROBLEM BEFORE THE SEMINAR
Pre seminara 82% polaznika procenilo je svoje znanje o tematici kao dosta dobro, ali je tek 40% polaznika rešilo test znanja sa tačnošću preko 70%.
I am well aware of the problem of child passenger safety and the importance of seat belt and child restraint use: 5 – fully agree; 4 – generally agree; 3 – neither agree nor disagree; 2 – mostly disagree; 1 – fully disagree
Percentage of correctly answered test questions on the subject of child passenger safety and the importance of seat belt and child restraint use
Before the seminar, 82% of the participants assessed their knowledge on the subject as quite good but only 40% answered more than 70% of the relevant questions correctly.

Pre seminara 65% anketiranih ocenjuje da su dobro upućeni u problematiku, a tek 11% njih rešava test znanja o toj problematici sa tačnošću preko 70%.

Before the seminar, 65% of the participants assessed their knowledge on the subject as quite good but only 11% answered more than 70% of the relevant questions correctly.

7. EVALUACIJE SEMINARA – POVEĆANJE ZNANJA
SEMINAR EVALUATIONS - INCREASE IN KNOWLEDGE
Iako je pre seminara velika većina polaznika/ca procenila svoju osvešćenost i svoje znanje kao dosta dobro, nakon seminara procenili su ih prilično ili znatno povećanima u poređenju sa onim pre seminara.
Even though before the seminar the great majority of participants self assessed their awareness and knowledge as quite good, after the seminar they assessed them to be much or significantly increased compared to before the seminar.
Awareness and knowledge increase after the seminar: 4 – significantly insreased; 3 – much increased; 2 - somewhat increased; 1 – stayed the same

8. EVALUACIJE SEMINARA SEMINAR EVALUATIONS
Organizaciju seminara, predavanje i materijale polaznici su ocenili veoma visokim ocenama, s prosecima u rasponu 4,54 – 4,84 (ocenjujući ocenama od 1 do 5, gde je 5 najviša ocena)
Seminar organisation, presentation and materials were rated very highly by the participants, with average scores in the range of 4.54 – 4.84 (with grades from 1 to 5, 5 being the highest grade)

9. ZAKLJUČCI CONCLUSIONS
Samopouzdanje zdravstvenih radnika na ovu temu je prilično visoko ali mnogo veće od njihove stvarne osvešćenosti i znanja.
Iako su i osvešćenost o problematici bezbednosti dece kao putnika i poznavanje ispravnog korišćenja autosedišta niski, informisanost o ispravnom korišćenju je posebno niska i pokazuje da postoji potreba za razvojem daljnjih prilika za obrazovanje zdravstvenih randika.
Sadržaj i način predavanja podstiču stvarno jačanje i percepciju jačanja osvešćenosti i znanja.
Ova vrsta edukacije dobro je prihvaćena od strane zdravstvenih radnika i oni je smatraju potrebnom i korisnom.
Health workers’ confidence on the subject is very high but much greater than their actual awareness and knowledge.
Though both the awareness of the child passenger safety issues and the understanding of correct child restraint use are low, the latter is particularly low and shows the need for development of further education opportunities for health workers.
The content and the delivery of the seminar fosters actual and perceived increase in awareness and knowledge.
This type of education is well received and considered needed and useful by health workers.
