1 £11million funding-Cross-party support
32 Maths Hubs in England £11million funding-Cross-party support Likely to continue, even if there is a change of government. National Centre for Excellence in Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) are supporting and directing Hubs.

2 Maths Hub Strategic Partners include
North Shropshire Teaching School Alliance Severn Teaching Alliance, Telford Hereteach Alliance, Wigmore, Herefordshire Woodfield Infant School, Shrewsbury Shrewsbury Sixth Form College Shropshire LA Further Maths Support Programme (FMSP) Strong support and expertise from across whole Hub region.

3 Aims… Support schools to address the new curriculum
Provide localised support for all schools Create time for research and development Encourage collaboration between Primary and Secondary Schools - support coherent progression Incentives to support and develop non-specialists, future Maths leaders & “hard to reach” teachers Local support – we intend to run events across the region, not just in Shrewsbury. Time created by cover costs being paid, rather than spending all money on twilight CPD. Future Maths Leaders = Teachers in their first 3 years of teaching (including NQT year). Hard to reach = teachers that have had no external Maths CPD for 4 or more years.

KS2–3 Algebra Project KS2–3 Multiplicative Reasoning Project KS1 – Arithmetic Proficiency KS4 – New GCSE KS1 – Singapore Text Books KS5 – A Level Active Intervention Mentor Support KS5 – Core Maths Support Opportunity for Primary and Secondary schools to work together – often in Action Plans but gets demoted. Further details already provided on information sheets and booking form.

Book your places (not just for Maths leads!) Spread the word – maintain local support Would your school be able to host any events? Check Let Graham know if interested in leading events Audit - what CPD needs should we address next? Any events that fill up will be repeated if there is sufficient demand.
