National Centre for Excellence in Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) are supporting and directing Hubs.

Further Maths Support Programme (FMSP)
Strong support and expertise from across whole Hub region.

3. Aims… Support schools to address the new curriculum
Provide localised support for all schools
Create time for research and development
Encourage collaboration between Primary and Secondary Schools - support coherent progression
Incentives to support and develop non-specialists, future Maths leaders & “hard to reach” teachers
Local support – we intend to run events across the region, not just in Shrewsbury.
Time created by cover costs being paid, rather than spending all money on twilight CPD.
Future Maths Leaders = Teachers in their first 3 years of teaching (including NQT year).
Hard to reach = teachers that have had no external Maths CPD for 4 or more years.
