Definition A sentence is a grammatical unit comprising a group of words that separates from other grammatical construction. Usually consists of 1 subject with its predicate Usually contains a finite verb or verb phrase

Definition A clause is a group of words containing a subject and predicate A clause forms part of a compound or complex sentence

Definition A phrase is two or more words in sequence intended to have meaning It has no subject and verb

Subject of a sentence can be singular or plural
Verb of the sentence must be in agreement with the subject. For example: She eats banana everyday They eat banana everyday

Pseudo subject is subject which is not a real noun.
For example: It is a good idea to go Since “It” represents “to go”, therefore we can say: To go is a good idea

There are many things to do Since “there” represents “many things”, therefore the verb used must be the verb for plural subject (“are”)
