What is a Conscience?
“the soul as distinguishing between what is morally good and bad, prompting to do the former and shun the latter, commending one, condemning the other.”

3. There is a Wisdom Needed to Build Faith
The Conscience is a judge based upon previous training
Romans 2:14,15
A good conscience will make you feel bad by just thinking of something!
A conscience can be trained in a wrong way!
You may do bad & feel good- Acts 23:1; 26:9; 1 Corinthians 8:7

4. What are the Elements of a Good Conscience?
A Consciousness of God- Romans 1:20-22,28
Must have the revelation of God in His Word – Hebrews 9:9,14; 10:22
You can Know that you have acted properly- Romans 9:1; 2 Corinthians 1:12
What does it take to Find & Keep a Good Conscience?
Be willing to do anything to keep it! Acts 24:16; 1 Timothy 1:19

5. The World Will Not Understand You!
1 Peter 4:4 “they think it strange that you do not run with them”
How many do we know who have compromised their conscience & now teach & practice things they once never dreamed they would?
Proverbs 28:1 “wicked flee when no one pursues”

6. Must Choose Associates that will Build Our Faith
Choice of friends will reveal your values as well as your future – Proverbs 27:17; 22:10,11

7. Must Come To Love Worship
God gives worship strong emphasis – John 4:23,24
Failure to worship creates weakness & carnality in the church – 1 Corinthians 11:17, 27-31
We must have worship that looks upon God & exposes our hearts! Hebrews 4:12,13; Matthew 15:8,9
Proper Worship tests the heart – 1 Corinthians 14:24,25

8. Build a Faith That Will Keep Life in Proper Perspective
Psalm 27,28 “it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD”
2 Corinthians 4:17,18 “working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”
Hebrews 13:5,6 “"I will never leave you nor forsake you." “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?“
