Formed by the Local Office of the Information Society – Ministry of Economy and Finance
Targets
Gather requirements of research and academic communities’ applications for complex problem solving
Coordination among national, regional and international efforts
Proposals for actions to the local office of the Information Society
Preparation of strategic documents to the related ministries
National representation to workshops, conferences, fora
Consultation to the research and academic communities (propose a common “Grid platform” solution based on common practices-standards)

2. Hellas Grid Task Force- Structure
Composed by 2 groups
Main Task Force - Setting the basic strategy and guidelines for national, regional and international activities
24 representatives by all major research and academic institutes working on Grids all over Greece
Technical Advisory committee - supporting and proposing technical solutions
11 technical experts in networking, middleware and applications with experience from previous projects

3. Hellas Grid Task Force- Timeplan
A set of public deliverables and internal reports is planned for 2003
Workshops are planned every 2-3 months all over Greece
Public material will be available in the HellasGrid website
