1. IDENTIFYING IMMIGRANT STUDENTS
TITLE III, SECTION 3301, defines
“eligible immigrant student” as:
Age three to twenty-one;
Enrolled in any public or private elementary or secondary school in Kindergarten through grade twelve;
Not born in the United States (or any US Territory);
Not attending any one or more schools in the US for more than three full years.
If you believe a student may be an immigrant, please send a copy of their Registration, Home Language Survey, and Birth Certificate to Karen Branzell at Special Services.
