Act Two, Scene i: Answers

3. In this passage, Mercutio is making fun of Romeo, “Romeo! Humors! Madman! Passion! Lover! Appear thou in the likeness of a sigh;” (7-8).
4. The male characters do not pursue Romeo because they are tired and want to sleep in their own beds. Benvolio convinces Mercutio to leave Romeo alone.
