3. Applications for strengthening our teaching activities
We have applied for a project related to flipped-classroom.
The aim of the project is to develop a new course concept for basic courses in business economics given to students at other educational programs than business and economics.

4. Our faculty board has applied for funding for a new senior lecturer position with a profile in entrepreneurship, innovation and bio-based economy.
The position, if granted, will be placed at our Department.

5. Ongoing processes related to recruitments of new teacher positions
An application for opening a senior lecturer position in Financial Accounting and Managerial Control is currently processed at the faculty.
There are ongoing discussions about applying for opening one or two senior lecturer positions in economics, or possible one senior lecturer position and one associate senior lecturer position.

6. Health profile assessment
The Department offers all staff an health examination at Länshälsan (Occupational healthcare).
The health examination offered is called Health Profile Assessment and includes a standard questionnaire about health and living habits, a fitness test on bicycle, measurement of blood pressure, length, weight and waist size. Also sampling of blood fats, blood sugar and blood value.
The department will get general feedback from Länshälsan to facilitate any actions needed. However this will only happens if there is a large enough group doing the assessment so that anonymity is preserved.

8. Meeting with MEP and representatives from the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation
Meeting organized by SLU with the purpose of informing MEPs about what we do and how our research can be used as input in their decision-making.
Focus area: Animal welfare, animal health, CAP, climate change, bio- economy and new protein crops for feed stuff and food.
Sören, Rob and Helena will participate from the Department.
