2. Primary Objective of the Coalition
Achieve the vision for expanded transportation options for Livingston County that will
fully serve the transit dependent who live in and visit Livingston County – seniors, disabled, those without a car
provide regular scheduled bus or train service between major destinations in and near Livingston County (employment, health care, education, airport, entertainment)
stimulate economic development and property values in our county
increase the livability and vitality of our county through an array of transportation options, including auto, bus, train, bicycling and walking

3. Goals To achieve our vision the coalition will
1. Expand the coalition to include more people with high levels of influence in the community representing a diverse array of stakeholders
2.  Advance the vision that the Coalition had agreed upon
3.  Provide data and public input related to transportation needs and desires of our communities
4. Secure the creation of the Livingston County Transportation Authority and a comprehensive transportation plan

County provided $50,000 of “local assistance” leading to $365,000 increase in LETS services*

10. Commuters need options
Twelve times a day, a Michigan Flyer express bus leaves Lansing and drives through Livingston County on the way to Ann Arbor and Detroit Metro Airport

because they don’t have a place to stop.

12. LCTC activities supporting Comprehensive Transportation Planning Project
Participation in development of RFP (done )
“Determination of transportation needs based on public opinion and demographic/travel analysis. The previous work and stakeholder organization of the Livingston County Transportation Coalition (LCTC) and SEMCOG will be employed at a starting point of this phase. “ (Assemble previous reports on transportation from LCTC, County and City planners, stakeholder groups, Now to Dec.)
“Public and stakeholder feedback regarding alternatives: The LCTC will provide direct assistance in securing the input from the public and key stakeholder groups. “ (Dec ‘17 – Apr. ‘18)
