2. Who are we? We are a racing team run by Chris Pye.
Team features 3 drivers:-

Kallum Pye (aged 12) – Autograss Mini
Danni Reader (Aged 21) – Autograss Mini
Team will be focused on Running the Legends Car in 2011, with some outings in the Mini
And need YOUR help please!
We need to raise a total as much of the budget of £15,000 for 2011 as possible....

Who are we?

There are plenty of marketing opportunities for sponsoring Chris Pye Motorsport. Although we do not receive the same level of media attention or spectator interest as high profile sports such as Formula One, the same marketing principals apply.
Sponsors can use Legends Car / Autograss racing for:
- exposure and awareness
- promotional activity
- image building
- media campaigns
- addressing a specific target audience
- corporate hospitality
The most effective way to use a Motorsport sponsorship is to base it around strong brand identification on the driver and the car and then use photographs in advertising and marketing materials.

11. Chris Pye The Drivers Chris started racing in 1998 in a Legends Car.
Chris finished 4th overall in the 1999 Oval Legends Car Points.
Chris finished 4th in the 1999 National Legends Car Championship
Chris has raced in 1300 Stock Cars, National Bangers, Hot Fords and in Autograss since.
In 2010 Chris made a long awaited return to the RACEceiver Oval Legends Championship, 9 years since last racing in the formula!
Chris was crowned UK Oval Track Legends ROOKIE CHAMPION 2010 and finished 10th in the National Points Championship, which featured 50 drivers.
Chris has set his sights high, with the UK Oval Track Legends Points Championship the target for 2011.

12. Kallum Pye
Kallum started racing in 2008 in Novice Juniors, aged 10, sharing Father Chris’ mini.
In 2009 the team provided Kallum with his own car.
Kallum picked up a trophy during 2009 for being one of the best drivers of the day.
In 2011 Kallum will make a return behind the wheel and race at Horndean Raceway in the Novice Junior Class, aiming to be promoted to the Junior Class.

Danni started racing in 2008 sharing Chris’ Prod A Mini.
In 2009 Danni had a number of outings, sharing Kallum’s Mini with some very promising results.
In 2011 Danni will continue to share Kallum’s mini when she can.

16. History of Legends Cars
In 1992, the officials at USA’s Lowe's Motor Speedway (formerly Charlotte Motor Speedway) began noticing a great need all across North America. This need was very simple: an affordable race car with a unique design that requires little maintenance time and cost. This was brought about because many short tracks have allowed the cost of their competing race cars to escalate out of control with "loose" rules.
Car counts began to drop drastically, and at that moment, track officials estimate that 30% to 40% of the race cars in North America were not in competition because of cost.
As a result of this research, in January 1992, US Legend Cars, Inc. was launched and so began a highly-accelerated R&D program of a new race car that would be affordable, race on smaller tracks and have low maintenance costs.
It was then in April of 1992 that the first Legends Car was unveiled at the Lowe's Motor Speedway. The concept of creating a fun and affordable "spec" class of racing for anyone to participate in was born.

17. History of Legends Cars
Since that time, the Legends Cars have become one of the fastest growing segments of motorsports today. With drivers being classified into four different divisions, Legends Cars is THE racing opportunity that is available to anyone!
The Pro Division is for the experienced drivers.
The Masters Division features drivers 40 years and older.
The Semi-Pro Division is the novice class, featuring the drivers that are new to the sport or have been inactive in other forms of racing for a while.
While the car stays the same from division to division, it is the driver that makes the difference!
The Legends Cars continue to be produced by  US Legend Cars, Inc. in Harrisburg, North Carolina. Currently they are the largest mass producer of race cars in the world. Presently, there are more than 3,500 Legends Cars in existence.

The UK Oval Legends Series is sponsored by Raceceiver, who are the World Wide Sponsors of Legends Cars for 2011.
There are 20 Points Rounds covering 9 of the finest UK Stock Car Oval Tracks throughout England. In addition to racing for points these meetings will also include 4 Major Championship events, the British Championship, the European Championship, the Golden Helmet Award and the pinnacle of the season the much coveted National Championships.
