1 CCM2 Unit 1: Inverse and Direct Variation
Day 2 Have the following on your desk: Student Info Sheet Syllabus (Course Info Sheet) Homework

2 Knight’s Charge 1/22/15 For each equation shown graphed, label each as one of the following: Increasing at a Constant Rate Decreasing at a Constant Rate Increasing at an Increasing Rate Decreasing at an Increasing Rate Increasing at a Decreasing Rate Decreasing at a Decreasing Rate

3 Check Homework Check your homework in your groups.
If there are any problems that your group can not agree to an answer on (after re-working the problem), the AMBASSADOR may ask Mrs. Honeycutt for help.

4 RAMP LENGTH, PLATFORM HEIGHT, & RIDE TIME

5 Let’s collect some data to test you theories!
Your group will be assigned a certain portion of the data to collect. Only two groups will be able to collect data at a time. You will need to assign someone to be the official timer (cell phone needed). Once you have collected your data, your group’s RECORDER needs to record the data on the class data sheet (on the board). While your group is waiting (or after your group has finished), you will be working on the “Review: Graphing Lines” worksheet.

6 Class Data -Enter data in calculator
-Write equation to model the data (using trial and error, enter equations into Y=).

7 Class Data -Enter data in calculator
-Write equation to model the data (using trial and error, enter equations into Y=).

8 Families of Variation Patterns
INSERT SCAN OF DOCUMENT

9 Victory Lap Write the linear equation that best fits the data.
Interpret the meaning of the slope of your line. Interpret the meaning of the y-intercept of your line.
