Chromoendoscopy and Narrow-Band Imaging Compared With High-Resolution Magnification Endoscopy in Barrett’s Esophagus  Wouter Curvers, Lubbertus Baak, Ralf Kiesslich, Arnoud Van Oijen, Thomas Rabenstein, Krish Ragunath, Jean–Francois Rey, Pieter Scholten, Uwe Seitz, Fiebo Ten Kate, Paul Fockens, Jacques Bergman  Gastroenterology  Volume 134, Issue 3, Pages (March 2008) DOI: /j.gastro Copyright © 2008 AGA Institute Terms and Conditions

2 Figure 1 Four corresponding images obtained with high-resolution white light endoscopy (A), indigo carmine chromoendoscopy (B), acetic acid chromoendoscopy (C), and narrow-band imaging (D). This area exhibits regular mucosal and vascular patterns with normal vessels situated along the mucosal ridges. This area contained specialized intestinal metaplasia without dysplasia. 3 Figure 2 Four corresponding images obtained with high-resolution white-light endoscopy (A), indigo carmine chromoendoscopy (B), acetic acid chromoendoscopy (C), and narrow-band imaging (D). In the center of this area, the mucosal and vascular patterns are clearly irregular with abnormal “spiral”-shaped blood vessels mainly situated at the outer skirts of the lesion. This area contained high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia. Gastroenterology  , DOI: ( /j.gastro ) Copyright © 2008 AGA Institute Terms and Conditions
