The St. Lawrence River links the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean!!!

A gulf is a body of water that is a part of an ocean or sea that is almost surrounded by land

The Gulf of Mexico is a body of water along the southern United States and Mexico.

9. What is the Continental Divide???
The Continental Divide, also called the Great Divide, is a natural boundary line separating waters that flow into the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf of Mexico from those that flow into the Pacific Ocean.
The Continental Divide runs along the peak of the Rocky Mountains.

10. What are coastal plains???
You know that a COAST is land next to an ocean. You know that a PLAIN is an area of large flat land. A coastal plain is a large area of flat land that is next to an ocean!!!

The Atlantic Coastal Plains are in the southeastern part of the United States next to the Atlantic Ocean

The Great Plains are located in the Central part of the United States
