Mark 4:35-41

2. Four Significant Moments
1. The Call - “Let US go over to the other side”
2. The Cry - “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” 3. The Command [to the wind & waves] - “Quiet! Be still!”
4. The Calm - the wind died down and it was completely calm

3. Two Significant Questions
I. Jesus asked His disciples: “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
II. The disciples were terrified and asked one another: “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!”

4. The Key to Answer Both Questions
“POWER”
“exousia” - power, delegated authority
“dunamis” - supernatural miracle working power
Mark 3:14-15 Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons.

5. The Chain of Authority
Jesus
Satan
demonic spirits
unbeliever
Believer

6. So what are the questions you are asking?
Do you ever wonder:
Jesus, do You care?
Jesus, can Your power save me?
Jesus, how do I get to the other side?
Know that Jesus cares more than you can ever imagine!
He died to save you by His sacrifice on the cross.
How do you get to the other side? The power of God within you!
Once you are saved ~ His authority and power is yours!
You just have to use it!
