Learning Goal: To identify why different European countries colonized the Americas. To begin to make a judgement on how America was colonized.

Learning Goal: To show your understanding of how cultures developed in Pre-Columbian America and to explain the colonization of the Americas.

Thursday September 15, 2016 Agenda: Unit 1 assessment-20 minutes to complete East Coast Geography Go to Google Classroom to locate the directions for today. Pre-assessment Standards: Political Geography 5.9 Students know the location of the current 50 states and the names of their capitals. Physical Geography Trace patterns of agricultural and industrial development as they relate to climate, use of natural resources, markets, and trade and locate such development on a map. Learning Goal: To show your understanding of how cultures developed in Pre-Columbian America and to explain the colonization of the Americas.

Friday, September 16, 2016 Agenda: Pre-assessment Continue working on Geography Standards: 7.6.1 Study the geography of the Europe and the Eurasian land mass, including its location, topography, waterways, vegetation, and climate and their relationship to ways of life. Learning Goal: To complete both the political and physical geography maps of Europe.
