3rd Grade Weekly Forecast
October 8-12, 2018 #ThunderousThird Welcome to Third Grade! Please know there is an expectation that all leaders should be reading at least 20 minutes a night. This is the easiest thing you can do to ensure your child’s growth as a reader this year! Transportation Changes must be a written note and the office needs to be contacted about any changes. Leaders will go home the way listed unless there is a written note stating otherwise. What we are Learning: ELA Inferencing-students will make inferences to understand characters. They will also distinguish their own point of view from that of the author. Math Multiplication and Division Students will work on recognizing patterns within multiplication facts. Students will use fact families to solve multiplication and divion equations. Social Studies Cultures Science Sun and other stars Please make sure to turn in Field trip form along with copy of insurance card no later than Oct. 18th Upcoming Events: Every Tuesday MEDIA NIGHT 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Media Center MATH ENGAGEMENT NIGHT-October 12th 5:30-6:30 CONFERENCES- Octpber 23rd and October 24th- Signup sheets will be coming home this week FIELD TRIP--October 25th TRUNK OR TREAT -October 26th 5:00-7:00 Students need to memorize their multiplication facts. Please make sure they are practicing daily. A great way to do this is with flash cards!
