Compare and contrast body composition and body weight as indicators of health. Analyze health-related problems associated with an unhealthy BMI. 2.02 Describe a variety of methods for monitoring the body composition. Calculate Body Mass Index and compare Body Mass Index to established norms. Perform activities to analyze cardiovascular fitness and compare results to established norms. Demonstrate how to monitor your own fitness performance levels. 2.03 Define flexibility, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. Describe the benefits of improving and maintaining flexibility, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. Discuss health-related problems associated with inadequate flexibility, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. 2.04 Design and use a workout with both aerobic and anaerobic activities. Identify different ways to check heart rate during aerobic activity. 2.05 Explain the effects of physical activity on heart rate. Determine your Target Heart Rate Zone. Prove the importance of exercising within your Target Heart Rate Zone. 2.06 Describe the SPORT and FITT principles Discuss how training principles can improve cardiovascular fitness Apply training principles to your own fitness goals and workouts
