PLAGIARISM Define (syllabus)
Plagiarism can be intentional or un-intentional. Changing a few words but keeping same meaning is still plagiarism.

PLAGIARISM (cont.) Avoid plagiarism:
Understand copyright laws/fair use. Presenting work as your own but not your own Cite sources properly in speech Where did it come from? When you paraphrase ideas,cite source. When in doubt,use attribution.

A. Speak up about a topic you feel is important. B. Promote positive values: cheating on a test. plagiarism.

C. Use your speech to benefit your listener: do not pursue personal needs at the expense of your listener. develop new angle to “old” topic.
