Poverty Reduction Initiative
“Poverty Reduction Initiative consists of representatives from local businesses, public and government agencies, and concerned citizens. Working subcommittees focus on five strategic directions: Navigators, Mentoring, Education, Advocacy, and Communications,” (PRI, 2014).

Progress Village VISION: “A virtual village of neighbors helping neighbors; creating pathways to opportunities and solutions”

Recommendations I would highly recommend working with the Poverty Reduction Initiative and Progress Village for a Service Learning experience. Not only was I able to do the required hours of community service I was able to contribute in a way that used my skill and knowledge while challenging me to face a new environment.
