Classroom News February 6th – 10th Mrs. Dugas Mark your calendar * A peek at the week + Math: + add 3 digit numbers with regrouping Religion: identify steps of reconciliation Science: + identify a food web, chain, and pyramid Reading: story in book: “Anansi goes Fishing” review compound words review drawing conclusions when reading Language: use adjectives to compare 2 or more things use the writing process Spelling: compound words Phonics identify vowel pairs identify vowel digraphs Wed. Feb. 8 – mass 8:30 a.m. A Note from Your Teacher: n Thanks you to those of you who have sent dry erase markers in! We are putting them to good use Students are now required to write answers on tests or quizzes in complete sentences. This is to prepare them for third grade testing. Points will be deducted for answers not written in complete sentences. We will begin practicing the act of contrition in class as reconciliation draws near. Please practice this prayer with your child at home as well. It is printed on the back of the reconciliation book you received at the parent meeting a few weeks ago .Students will recite this prayer each time he/she goes to reconciliation. The reconciliation vests will come home with the students next week Directions and suggestions will be included with the vest. Completed vests will be due back the week of February 13.
