The urinary system, with other organs, regulates the amount and composition of interstitial fluid. (Homeostasis)
The kidneys are the major excretory organs of the body. They remove toxic waste and play a role in regulating blood ions, pH, and volume.
The system consists of 2 kidneys, 2 ureters, a single bladder, and a urethra.
