1. Newborn Hearing Screening (NHSP) Pathway Template
Identify, inform and maximise uptake: UHCW, SWFT, GEH, WAHT, WVT (+ Health visiting Service, GPs)
Screening test, analysis & reporting: AOAE (+ AABR if response unclear)
HACW, WVT, UHCW, SWFT, GEH
If response unclear- Assessment: Audiology assessment clinic: OAE / ABR
UHCW, SWFT, WAHT, WVT For GEH patients: SWFT Community service
If hearing loss or mild hearing loss:
Audiology + referral to:
ENT (CCG), Education Services / Support Worker, Community Paediatrician as required
For GEH patients: In Health at GEH (service provided by BCH)
