What does this mean?! To distribute means to give something to each member of a group. Algebra example: a(b+c)= ab + ac

3(x + 2) = Use the Distributive Property: 3(x) + 3(2)= Now multiply: 3x + 6 This is your answer

Example: Apply the Distributive Property 3(1 –y)= Multiply, and keep the subtraction sign 3(1) – 3(y) Your answer 3 – 3y
