GRADING POLICY & PROCEDURES Formal Assignments: 70% (ex: Assesments, Projects) Informal Assignments: 30% (ex: Homework, classwork) ReTests will be given for tests 79% or below only with completed corrections and will earn a high score of 79% Students will be expected to complete each test within class period or other stated time given Tests are given by objectives (2 or 3 objectives per test, 6 or 10 questions per objective) and each objective will be entered into the gradebook as individual grades Half Credit will not be given, check work carefully CHEATING on a test or quiz or WITH NO WORK SHOWN or IN PEN earns you a ZERO Late work will be graded per CMS Grading Policy SUPPLY LIST Required: Pencils!! (with eraser) Binder Dividers (6 pack) Notebook Paper Recommended: Graphing Calculator GRADE SCALE A: B: C: D: F: 59 & below Mastery = 79% Math II Honors Mrs. Mangano Room MC1114 TUTORING SCHEDULE: Mon PM: Mrs. Mangano & Mrs.Capacia (MC 1114) Tues PM: Mrs. Gibson (MC 437) Wed AM: Mr. Bergeron (F309) Thurs PM: Ms. Beam (1302) Fri PM: Mr. Mealey (MC 302) Students can see any teacher, but must be on time. Other tutoring times are available on request. CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS Be On Time Be Prepared mentally and physically Participate and stay engaged Music and phones per teacher discretion only Work not done in pencil, or without work shown, will receive a zero If absent on test day, you will be expected to take it the very next day. The course will use individual assignments (HW every night), group work, assessments, notebook portfolios, projects and other tools to challenge and require explanation for reasoning. Unit 1: Quadratics (split into 2 parts) Unit 2: Transformations Unit 3: Radical & Rational Functions Unit 4: Similarity & Congruency Unit 5: Trigonometry Unit 6: Probability BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU It is your responsibility to stay on top of your progress and grade in class. Grades are available via parent portal and student portal, as well as on request. Do not wait until the end of a quarter to try and catch up or ask for help.
