Activity Collect a large beaker, a small beaker, a flask and a measuring cylinder Measure 100cm3 of water into the measuring cylinder Pour it into the flask Pour it into the small beaker Pour it into the large beaker Pour it back into the measuring cylinder Has the volume of liquid changed?

Look at the statements on page 4 of your notes, Tick the statements that are true and cross those that are false

Think.. Discuss.. Write With the person next to you decide on a description of a liquid and write the description in the space provided

Liquid Facts Examples of liquids at room temperature include water (H2O), blood, and even honey. Liquids fill the shape of any container they are in. The top of a liquid will usually have a flat surface. That flat surface is the result of gravity pulling on the liquid molecules.
