APICS Chapter Innovation Co-Funding Mission
The Chapter Innovation Fund, will focus on co-funding initiatives that are early adopter, evolutionary, or visionary in nature, with a strong potential of success: Fostering chapter growth and revitalization Scaling across the APICS North American chapter community Developing foundational business and governance best practices Digitally engaging members, learners, and the broader community Exploring and implementing next generation professional development and market development programs to advance the APICS Body of Knowledge within supply chain work force development

Chapter Innovation Fund Program Overview
Designed to foster an innovation culture throughout the APICS chapter partner community Chapter Innovation Fund requests should be focused on innovative programs or growth initiatives Program launches September 1, 2018 Funding requests can be made anytime. Approval or rejection will be granted within 30 to 45 days The Partner Development Committee will screen Chapter Innovation Fund requests and make preliminary recommendations to APICS HQ for funding on a monthly basis Chapters are limited to one successful Chapter Innovation Fund reimbursement per calendar year Chapters with unsuccessful Chapter Innovation Fund requests are free to reapply anytime Approved initiatives will be co-funded on a 50/50 basis (i.e. 50% Chapter/50% APICS HQ) The program anticipates that the majority of Chapter Innovation Fund requests will be for co-funding of <$5K, though larger co-funding requests will also be considered Chapter Innovation Fund requests should be submitted via the APICS Chapter Innovation Fund Application Form Jim One significant initiative is the Chapter Innovation Fund that is being instituted as part of the changes to M-Reb or the membership rebate. Chapter Innovation Fund Application and Decision Process
Submit Application* Application Review and Funding Recommendation by the PDC** Program Execution and Co-Funding Reimbursement Submission*** + 30 – 45 days from invoice submission. Invoice submission should include copies of 3rd party invoices verifying the 50/50 co-fund days from submission. Anytime * Applications must be submitted by a chapter president or treasurer ** Decisions will be made once per month, which may impact timing of requested reimbursement *** Reimbursement funds will be disbursed to the chapter entity (not to an individual). APICS reserves the right to conduct a follow-up interview with the chapter.

State the innovation initiative’s Purpose Statement, including how will it impact: Chapter growth and revitalization? Membership engagement? Chapter governance and leadership development? Corporate engagement? Digital engagement/experience, including the use of social media? Multiple stakeholder /community engagement (for example, local corporations, economic development agency(ies), talent re-skilling/ development, chambers of commerce)? Is it a new or existing program? New Program: What will you need to implement your program within the next fiscal year? Existing Program: What steps did you take to implement your program in the last two years? What documents are required? Complete the APICS Chapter Innovation Fund Application Form Outline budget and promotional plan Provide a brief description of: Success metrics – what does/will success look like? How can this program be scaled to other chapters?

Amount Requested? The Chapter Innovation Fund is a co-fund program on a 50/50 basis (i.e. 50% Chapter/50% APICS HQ) The funding amount requested may represent up to 50% of the actual expenditure The program anticipates that the majority of Chapter Innovation Fund requests will be for co-funding of <$5K, though larger co-funding requests will also be considered All reimbursement requests must documented with a verifiable 3rd party (non-chapter) expense that the chapter incurred in conducting the innovation program Chapters cannot claim Chapter Innovation Fund reimbursement for expenses that cannot be verified by a 3rd party invoice (non chapter) A chapter may submit multiple Chapter Innovation Fund applications per calendar year, but are limited to one successful APICS innovation fund reimbursement per year

Chapter Development How will it streamline or innovate chapter management/governance? Digital Engagement How will it deploy digital strategies to engage members/learners/broader community? Membership Development How will it help develop or grow overall chapter membership, engagement, maintenance and/or retention? Impact Assessment: Funding Categories Alignment How is the initiative aligned with the funding categories? Community Scalability Does the initiative have the potential to help a broader base of the NA Chapter community? Potential for Success Does the proposed initiative have reasonable chance of success? Success Metric How will the initiative define success? ROI Is the proposed initiative a good return on investment?

Grow the APICS global community through channel partnerships and strategic alliances aligned with the APICS mission and values, in a manner that leads to increased APICS memberships, certifications, and educational material sales; while fostering long- term, sustainable success and the development of new access points for future supply chain professionals.
