THANK YOU for all your donation of time and supplies to our gingerbread houses! This is a wonderful tradition that the students will remember for many years. We still have high school students and alumni of GM that still remember making their gingerbread houses. This is a tradition that comes from Germany. 7

GINGERBREAD HOUSES: Thank you to those that donated and helped. The gingerbread houses may be taken home after the Christmas concert on Monday night, Dec. 4.
HOMEWORK: No homework on Monday night due to the concert.

TOYS FOR TOTS: The elementary student council will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots to help those less fortunate. Please send in the toy by Dec. 8th. The school is focusing on gifts for boys and girls ages Suggested items are a cap, scarves, headphones, hairdryer, straightener, perfume, jewelry, iTunes cards, and books. No items with any weapons such as nerf guns or toy soldiers, please. The second grade will be working with the first grade and seniors to collect the most items. The group collecting the most items will be rewarded to 30 minutes of skate time with a drink and snack! This is a good way to use some Kohls’ Cash!
ELEMENTARY CHRISTMAS CONCERT is on Monday, Dec. 4 at 7:00 pm. Parents may bring their second grader to the classroom between 6:30-6:45. Students should wear nice, clean clothes. The gingerbread houses will be on display in the gym. After the concert, the second graders will be standing by the gingerbread houses. Parents may pick up their second grader and the gingerbread house in the gym to take home. We will not be coming back to the classroom after the concert.
CLASSROOM CHRISTMAS PARTIES: The classroom Christmas parties will be on Thursday, Dec. 21 at 1:15-2:45 pm. If you would like to help plan the games, donate food, or make up goody bags, please let the classroom teacher know.
TENNIS SHOES: If students are wearing boots to school in the morning, don’t forget to bring a pair of shoes for gym class.
