IN p. 26 Tb p. 76 Answer questions 1-7 Answer in full and complete sentences using textual evidence when necessary.

3 September 30:“My Life as a Bat” Post-reading Activity
IN p. 27 TB p Answer the following questions AFTER you read: Now that you have read the story, why do you think the author used this title? Look at the five different headings in the story. Which heading do you feel did the best job of describing why the author loves bats? Explain. What new information did you learn about bats that you did not already know? Turn your notebook in once you are done!

4 “My Life as a Bat” Review
Take this time to make sure: Your notebook is finished Your flashcards are finished You have turned in all of your work You have studied your vocabulary You have reread the story You have studied for your test!

5 “My Life as a Bat” Summative
Turn in your notebook and homework Collect a manilla folder and a sheet of loose leaf paper. Your desk area should be clear of everything except your testing materials. Title your page as “Called Out” Summative and fill out the rest of the header. DO NOT WRITE ON MY COPY OF THE TEST! You have the entire class period to complete the exam. Turn in your answer sheet and my blue copy of the test to the back table. If you have extra time, work silently on missing assignments. Good Luck!
