1 ULM Library Virtual Tour

2 Overview While the library has been around since the University’s beginnings in 1931, the current library building opened in 1999. The Library occupies the first five floors; the sixth and seventh contain the offices of the University administration, including the Office of the President.

3 1st Floor The first floor is the main hub of the library, containing important resources for students. The Circulation Desk is where you can check out books and other media. Behind Circulation is the Reference Desk, where reference librarians can assist you with research questions, finding books, or navigating the online databases. The Computer Lab offers students access to the internet and various software programs, including Microsoft Office.

4 2nd Floor The second floor is a community space for students, faculty, and staff. The second floor also includes faculty and staff offices, study rooms, and the combined office of Government Publications/Serials and Media.

5 3rd Floor The third floor has several options for patrons:
Study carrels and group study areas Books, LC call numbers A-P Study rooms Classrooms 3-A through 3-G ULM Moodle Help Desk ULM Computing Center

6 4th Floor The 4th floor is much like the third, including:
Books, LC call numbers Q-Z Curriculum & Juvenile Collection Study carrels and areas Study rooms Library Administration Library Technical Services This is also where the stairs end. To reach the 5th, 6th, and 7th floors, patrons must take the elevators.

7 5th Floor The 5th floor can only be reached via elevator, and is the quietest of the floors. Special Collections and Archives Study areas Faculty study rooms Student study rooms Faculty and staff offices
