Communicate with H & L
Make sure the H & L are in position before you begin
Count stripes, do not pace
Don’t put the ball down unless you the H & L agree

Head Linesman
As soon as play is over make sure the chains and box don’t move
Make sure the box remains on the previous down
Make sure the box does not move until the umpire has put the ball down and you till them to move
Move with umpire
Know the new yard line, down and distance before you walk.
Make sure the enforcement is correct

Line Judge
Hold enforcement spot
Verify chains and down marker are correct before enforcement
Make sure the enforcement is correct

Back Judge
Be ready to give final signal after enforcement:
On kick off “Carry over” fouls
Re-kick off
Help retrieve flags
Make sure the enforcement is correct

Everyone
If you need to get information from a fellow crew member go and get it
Avoid conferences
If you must talk move away from the sidelines and if possible players
The R will make the final decision on disqualifications
If you have important information and do not share it … be prepared to take it to your grave
Make sure the enforcement is correct
Know and relay clock status to R
Communicate numbers and answer basic questions from the head coach
Be confident
Support the call
