2. Connecting the Dots
After completing the Seeing, Hearing, Doing Quiz, you determined your strongest learning style.
Identifying your learning style can help you figure out strategies to be more successful in school.
Your learning style might also be connected to your interests, hobbies, and activities outside of school.

3. Puzzle Piece Assignment
For your first “official” assignment of the semester, you will create a puzzle piece that represents who you are as both a student, and an individual.
We’ll work on this assignment over the next few days, following a series of steps to complete it.
Remember: if you’d like a paper copy of the instructions once we get started, just ask! 

4. Step One
Once you have received your puzzle piece template, write your name in the middle.
Make sure that you print neatly and not too big.
You can use colours or an interesting letter style to make the centre of your puzzle piece unique to you.

5. Step Two
Consider what you learned about yourself during yesterday’s learning style activities and quiz.
Choose FOUR strategies or methods that you use on a regular basis to be successful at school.
Using words, images, or a combination of both, add these to the four corners of your puzzle piece.

6. Step Three
Your interests and activities also play a role in determining how you learn.
Different sports, clubs, jobs, and hobbies can help you learn new things, and build skills that will make you a stronger student.
Choose FOUR personal interests. Think about the skills they have taught you.
Using words, images, or a combination of both, add these to four blank areas of your puzzle piece.

7. Step Four
Carefully review your puzzle piece. Ask yourself . . .
Did you include all the required components?
Is your design neat and easy to read/understand?
Did you use creative aspects, such as colours or images, to make your puzzle piece visually appealing?
Did you spell everything correctly?
Are you satisfied with your final product?
Once you feel confident that your puzzle piece is perfect, carefully cut it out, and hand it in.
