Parent Communication Late Work Grading Absences
“SUCCESS IS NOT AN ACCIDENT. SUCCESS IS A CHOICE.” – Stephrn Curry Our expectation is that work will be turned in on time. However, we understand that there are times where work may not be turned in on time. Any late work should be turned in no later than two weeks from the due date of the assignment. Late Work ASSIGNMENTS You will be graded based on a variety of assignments throughout the marking period. These may include assignments such as: Binder Checks Agenda Checks Writing Assignments Review Assignments EXTRA CREDIT There may be options provided for extra credit throughout the marking period. Please keep your eye on the board. Grading Absences Part of being successful in school is being present for instruction, so please do your best to minimize times that you miss school. When you do miss school, please check the objectives on the board for the week and speak to Ms. Bryson or Mr. Guyton as soon as possible to get missed work. Page 2, Option 1/4 Parent Communication Parent communication is very important to us. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us via phone or , both of which are listed on the front on the syllabus. Your first contact should be the teacher your student is assigned to on their course schedule. Please also be sure that you fill out and return the Update form which was also sent home with your child. This will ensure that we have the most up to date contact information for you, which will facilitate contact. “DON’T TELL ME HOW TALENTED YOU ARE. TELL ME HOW HARD YOU WORK.” – Arthur Rubenstein
