5. Write the function in vertex form, then identify the vertex.

y + 25 = (x2 – 10x + 25 ) + 22
y + 25 = (x – 5) isolate y
y = (x – 5)2 – identify vertex.
Vertex = (5, -3)

6. Write the function in vertex form, then identify the vertex.
