Concentration -concentration can be thought of in terms of “how much stuff is in other stuff” -concentration is measured in several different ways: grams per liter, molarity, parts per million, and percent composition

Concentration -Grams per liter = mass of solute divided by the volume of solution -Molarity = moles of solute divided by liters of solution (volume MUST be in liters)

Molarity Practice Answer the following questions:
The molar mass of C12H22O11 is 342 g. How many moles are contained in 342 g of C12H22O11? How many moles are contained in 34.2 g of C12H22O11? What is the molarity of a solution with moles and 0.10 L? What is the volume of a solution if you have moles and a molarity of 0.01 M?
