2. Who was Hercules ? Hercules was best known as a strong man
Hercules had 1 twin brother named Iphicles
Hercules was the last son of Zeus (the god of the sky and weather)
Hercules was not a God but he was more considered as a hero
He was the highest hero above any other hero
Hercules was worshipped as a protector of mankind

3. Hercules’ Love Life Hercules was married 4 times
His first wife was Megara (King Creon’s daughter), whose children he murdered in a fit if madness
His second wife was Omphale (The Lydian queen)
His third wife was Deianira (man-killer)
His fourth and final wife was Hebe

5. Hercules’ killings Hercules killed many people and things
He killed Termerous (who was a robber)
He killed King Amyntor of the Dolopes because he would not let Hercules into his kingdom
Hercules also killed King Emathion of Arabia
Hercules killed Lityerses when he beat him in a harvesting contest
He also killed Periclymenus at Plyos
Hercules also killed a giant by holding him in the air while strangling him

6. Hercules’ weaknesses and strengths
Some people say that one of Hercules weakness’s was one of his beautiful wives, Megara
Others say that his weakness was that he was greedy
His strengths was that he was brave, strong , and determined
Here are 4 examples of Hercules strength, 1:When Hercules was a baby he strangled two snakes
2:As he grew older and was a man he was able to strangle the Nemean Lion

3:Hercules held up the Heavens for a short time while Atlas (who usually holds up the Heavens) went to go get the Apples of the Hesperides
4:Hercules overpowered the three-headed dog Ceberus without using any weapons

8. Hercules Symbol Hercules symbol is the Wooden Club
Hercules actually used the wooden club to stun the Nemean Lion and then strangled it to death
Hercules's favorite weapon was his large wooden club.
The Wooden Club replaced Hercules old weapon the Golden Mace but it really wasn't made out of gold but it was forged enchanted adamantine and was indestructable

After Hercules killed the Nemean Lion he wore the lions skin like a cape and the mouth like a hood and the front paws would tie around his neck
Hercules was worshipped as a protector of mankind
Hercules mother was Alcmene the Romans called Heracles and they say that is where she got the name Hercules

10. The 12 labors of Hercules
The 12 labors of Hercules were gave to him as a punishment after for killing his family when he got very angry because Hera (Zeus’ wife)drove him mad
Hercules soon regretted what he did but he still had to be punished and his punishment was The 12 Labors
The 12 Labors are as followed,1:Kill the Nemean Lion 2:Kill the Lernean Hydra(who was a snake that has 9 heads) 3:Capture the Cerynian Hind(which was the deer with gold horns)

The 12 Labors (continued): 4:Capture the Erymanthian Boar(who was a deadly animal who was feared by people espeicially in the city) 5:Clean the Augean Stables that had not been cleaned in 30 years 6:Kill the Stymphalian Birds who has claws and beaks as sharp as metal 7:Capture the Cretan Bull 8:Capture King Diomedes horses 9:Take Queen Hippolyte’s girdle 10:Capture Geryon(the winged monster) 11:Get the Golden Apples of Hesperides(daughter of Atlas) 12:Capture Cerburus(a three-headed dog) without using any weapons
After Hercules accomplished all 12 he was considered a hero

12. The Death Of Hercules
Hercules mortal life died when he threw himself onto a funeral prye
His godly life died when his wife put poison on his shirt thinking it was love postion but apparently it wasen’t,it was poison
The poison burned and hurt Hercules so bad that he actually wanted to die
Eventually Hercules died
