Selling of indulgences by the Catholic Church Martin Luther was against it, and against 94 other things He nailed the list to the door of a Catholic Church It was called the 95 Theses (the list of things) It became a movement to REFORM the Catholic church

Protestantism The Christians who protested founded their own denominations based on their beliefs The first Protestant denomination was Lutheranism, named after Martin Luther Other early denominations included Calvinism, developed by John Calvin Calvinists believe in predestination
