2 Outline Friday 20th July All students to be out of normal lessons and participating in Sports Day. All students must arrive to school wearing their FULL SCHOOL PE KIT and go straight to their form room to register at the start of Period 1 where they will be given their house coloured bib to wear. Remember to come prepared for the weather (bring sun cream, water, waterproof clothing). DON’T FORGET ANY MEDICATION SUCH AS INHALERS Ensure you bring plenty to drink as you will not be allowed back inside during the activity times.

3 Events All students have been selected to compete in the Sports competitions (either football, rounder's or dodgeball). If your name isn’t on any of the teams then girls – go to rounders first then dodgeball. Boys please go to dodgeball first then rounders. If you have been selected for an athletics event and you know that you cannot compete on the day – please inform a member of the PE department at break/lunch time.

4 8:20-8:25 Students to register in their form rooms with their form teachers. NEW Y11 Maths VMG groups go to your ORIGINAL form room. Registers to be taken and plan & expectations for the day shared with students. House coloured bibs to be handed out. 8:25-8:45 Form tutors to accompany students down to the Athletics field where they will sit in their designated house area. 8:45-10:45 Students to participate in athletic events or sports competitions 10:45–11:00 Break as normal 11:00 – 1:00 1:00 – 1:30 Lunch as normal 1: Relay events, results to be counted and winners announced – everyone out on field.

9 EXPECTATIONS Students to remain in their designated house area unless competing in activities. Students who fail to remain in designated areas will have points deducted from their houses total and face possible expulsion from all events. Students to KNOW which events they are competing in and then to LISTEN for announcements of when their event is starting. Toilet breaks will be restricted to before school, break time and lunch time so make sure you go at these times.

10 Scoring System Points will be awarded to everyone who competes in an event. Last years results were separated by only a few points – so one person participating in a race this year could be the deciding points. 1st Place – 10 points 2nd Place – 7 points 3rd Place – 5 points 4th Place – 3 points
