Any unsuccessful Grade 9 Course that you do not intend to upgrade at summer school. 5 Grade 10 Compulsory Courses - English (ENG2D, 2L or 2P) - Mathematics (MPM2D, MAT2L or MFM2P) - Canadian History (CHC2D, 2L or 2P) - Science (SNC2D or 2P or 3E) - Civics (CHV2O3) .5 Credit and Career Studies (GLC2O3) .5 Credit Plus electives to total 8 Credits in Gr. 10 One of your electives must be an art credit if you didn’t take one in gr. 9 First clean up anything you missed in first semester. If you have a failing grade in a class from Semester 1 and you plan to go to Summer School to make it up or are currently in a Credit Recovery Class you may choose it at the next level. In Grade 10 there are 5 compulsories. Circle them on you Course Offering list now. They are English, Mathematics, Canadian History, Science plus a half credit in civics and a half credit in careers. You will have to select both courses codes for civics and for careers. That means that when you select a total of 9 courses. Grade 10 allows for 3 elective courses and there are many to choose from. Do some research before you select. If you are thinking of changing stream in Grade 10 consult with your counsellor to see what is required and whether it is a good idea for you.
