Multiple Meaning Words:
Some words have more than one meaning You can use the words and sentences around a multiple-meaning word to figure out which meaning the author is using What are the two meanings? Word Meaning #1 Meaning #2 bow close glass gum right

Indefinite Pronouns Indefinite pronouns do not always have a definite antecedent Everybody, everyone, anybody, anyone, someone, somebody, etc. Ex: Everyone eats lunch in the cafeteria. Choose the correct pronoun: (All, Nobody) has volunteered to help with the mission. (Someone, Everyone) signaled that she needed help with the spacesuit. The crew was experienced, but (nobody, someone) had yet been to Venus.

Reflexive Pronouns Reflexive pronouns reflect the action of verb back upon the subject They end in “self” or “selves” Hisself, theirself, theirselves, and ourself are NOT words Choose the correct pronoun: The pilot blamed (hisself, himself) for the rough landing. She asked (herself, yourself) if it was the right thing to do.
