5 Unity is the essential component that keeps Exchange together!
BUILDING CLUBS Sustainability is about ensuring a better quality of life for everyone now and for generations to come. Unity is the essential component that keeps Exchange together! CLUB – DISTRICT -- NATIONAL Sustainability – to keep in existence, to provide for, to support, to affirm validity A collective passion is the reason we are all here. Everyone working together within the same context adds to the sustainability of Exchange.

6 FELLOWSHIP Connecting where there is no connection – Means clubs that have not been contacted or visited. Sharpen your senses…to be aware of what’s going on in the District. What you don’t have in place -- needs to be changed. For example, Article 13 committees -- does your budget align with Article 1 purposes? Is your budget being driven by Article 1 purposes? -- If not, NCB committee -- then no discussion at Board meeting or no line item in budget to support NCB.

7 FELLOWSHIP Build relationships within district and region. -- Engage clubs! Make membership meaningful with high impact. Are your clubs well known in their community? You, as District President, can showcase clubs, recognize them for their contributions, create a new focus – Engagement. That’s how you engage -- Leverage all members.

8 Now is the time to re-engage all clubs and members in your district.
FELLOWSHIP Change is one constant. We will look different next year, and years to come. It is important to understand that intentional change takes time. Be prepared for resistance – it’s the nature of people. Now is the time to re-engage all clubs and members in your district.

9 Exchange Clubs add Value
STRENGTHEN CLUBS Exchange Clubs add Value Help clubs define true value. Will people see value in Exchange? Promote and share the value -- encourage clubs to utilize communication and needs assessment to keep programs and projects current and relevant. If not providing value, change course or update and refresh current items.

Leaders must know what your weaknesses are and instead of denying them, you work together and highlight strengths to overcome weaknesses. Constantly change the landscape for new opportunities, to provide solutions to changes found in the opportunities – See the need and fill it. Later during this conference you will see leadership presentations which will challenge you to continue enhancing your skills as a leader to assist you successfully in guiding your District. Understand you have to be better tomorrow than you are today. Day after day, week after week, month after month, you build deep alliances.

11 Talents STRENGTHEN CLUBS
Succession planning and talent succession. Select people based on strengths and interest. Followers – put their skills to good use. Initiate change. Visits – what to do if no one visits?
